Chiropractor Jeff Donatello has opened a new service, Chair Massage Now, in a newly renovated office in Kittery. The idea behind the new service is that these days stressed-out people need a quick low cost massage.
To have a massage one needs no appointments. It is enough to just walk in and sign up. When the traditional, full-body table massages usually cost between $60 and $90 an hour, chair massage only cost $15 for 15 minutes.
“It’s all about convenience. We enable customers to get quick relief. We make it easy to get in, get rejuvenated and get out,” Donatello commented. During the massage the customer sits on a chair. The seated massage is also said to adress problems associated with prolonged periods sitting at a desk, such as stiff necks and headache.

The Woods Spa has recently added a new service to its list. They are now offering massage therapy for the man’s best friends - dogs. The massage is designed to relax and calm the animal as well as provide relief for arthritis or backache.
“The basic premise behind canine massage is just to pamper, to protect and to promote wellness. Any kind of muscle soreness, whether the result of injury, overstretching, misuse or even arthritis, a dog can really feel that.”
A separate room was reserved for the new service. The spa hopes that dog owners would also be interested in massage therapy while they bring their dog to a massage. “The basic idea of it is to bring together man and man’s best friend.” the owner of the spa tells.
